The Yarra River traverses over 200km from its source near Mt Baw Baw to it’s mouth, through Melbourne’s Docklands and out into Port Phillip Bay. The river provides 70% of Melbourne’s water supply and is an important cultural, social and environmental icon for our city and State. The river winds around Collingwood and Abbotsford, site of the Convent (now a cultural institution) and the Collingwood Childrens Farm and community gardens.
